Throwback Highlight: “Never Forget You” by Noisettes

Released in 2009, “Never Forget You” (by Noisettes) is a soulful number that beautifully echoes the style and mood of early Motown. The rock band perfectly blends the guitar riffs, gentle drums, and the adorable, groovy vocals of Shingai Shoniwa. Set as a song about reclaiming a lost love, “Never Forget You” is nothing short of fun, catchy and warm. 

I love hearing songs that not only wonderfully beam of modern musical art and pop, but also reboot the styles and riffs of classic music in a brand new manner.  “Never Forget You” is no exception to the collection of tracks where this experiment works very well.
