Laurens Court release powerful new track ‘Burn’
On 3rd February, North East alternative rock band Laurens Court released their brand new single ‘Burn’. The new track is the first single from their upcoming, self-titled album – their second since their 2017 debut LP Introduction.
The band started off with links to the grunge sphere, but this single, along with the new album, show Laurens Court in a new light. Set as a dark ode to overthinking and self sabotage, ‘Burn’ is haunting, deep and atmospheric. It is the perfect track for listeners who just want something a bit destructive and powerful to listen to.
“It’s about how the mind can be when it doesn’t allow itself to get help” frontman Dylan Abbas explains. “The comparison of your own life to others, the frustration of not being able to stop thinking about the things you’ve done. It’s what happens when your feelings of pessimism and self-loathing convert themselves into feelings of anger and anarchism.”
The new LP Laurens Court will be out this year. A music video for the track will be released soon, but for now, definitely check out the audio of ‘Burn’ below!
