Edgar Allan Poets unveil ‘The G.O.A.T’
Edgar Allan Poets, inspired by the famous writer himself, are an alternative band that explores a dark and intense sound called noir rock. Also propelled by thier love for Alfred Hitchcock’s films, their music weaves a great mix of grunge guitars, classical strings and narratives of mystery. This dark brand of rock noir has been nicely illustrated in their new track ‘The G.O.A.T’ – a tribute to the part of us that is extraordinary.
“The G.O.A.T, The Greatest Of All Time, is that creature that is hidden inside all of us”, said Chris Mariotti on the new track. “In my life, I found incredible people everywhere, I like to call them ordinary life heroes. Sometimes we are shy to admit it and our voice shakes, like at the beginning of this song… but little by little we find the courage to scream that, even if it has been just for one eternal moment”.
Edgar Allan Poets, fronted by Chris Mariotti (vocals/guitar) and The Shadow (drums), have been compared to grunge bands such as Nirvana and Alice in Chains, mixing elements of grunge and classic rock to explore dark and powerful moments. In ‘The G.O.A.T’, the eerie verses nicely transition into the powerful and anthemic choruses, taking the listener through the lyrical musings.
