Eighty Ninety fly in new track ‘Know Me’

Fancy something as sweet and light as candy floss? Eighty Ninety is a musical project of Brooklyn-based brothers Abner (vocals) and Harper James (guitar). Earlier this week, the pair released their new single ‘Know Me’. As a song about loving through the difficult times and the hope that can bring, it is a much needed song for life as we know it.

“The song is about loving someone through life’s darker moment and how that kind of love can bring hope, meaning, and maybe even redemption in the face of tragedy,” the brothers explain. Abner’s vocals are wonderfully soft and gliding – a perfect accompaniment to the breezy blend of banjo and acoustic guitar. Also, the dreamy electronic melodies complement the waves of the vocals beautifully. In sum, ‘Know Me’ is a beautiful example of the great new indie pop that’s out there.

Since debuting in 2016 with their track ‘Three Thirty’ and their EP Elizabeth, Eighty Ninety have garnered over 22 million streams. The spike happened at the time they were hand-picked by Taylor Swift for her official Spotify Playlist. I hope you enjoy this track as much as I do!
