Mike Zito Proves That Blues, Rock And Roll Is Live And Well
Mike Zito prepares us for his new album in style with ‘Don’t Bring Me Down‘, which serves up the rock and blues on a platter.
Mike, unquestionably one of the most influential players in the US blues-rock era, presents a fantastic guitar exhibition. He’s been honing his craft for decades, working with some of the biggest names in the business, including Joe Bonamassa, and the musician/label owner doesn’t hold back with his delivery’.
The guitar blasts through the speakers like a shattering bulb on ‘Don’t Bring Me Down‘, proving that rock & roll is still alive and well. His six-string guitar speaks for itself, offering a top-notch vocal that binds the entire oeuvre together. His roughness and raw qualities leave the mouth watering with zeal, and he has the required vocal for singing forthright blues-rock.
Many new noises emerge as the music progresses, and the drum rhythm keeps the flow tight; resulting in a movement that even your dog will be tapping to in a frenzy. Also, this is only a taste of what to expect from his album, ‘Resurrection‘, which is out on July 16th.
