Jimmy Wayne And The Second Chance Drop New Album
Guy Hale, Mike Zito, and Kid Anderson put their heads together to create a new score for Guy Hale’s novel, ‘Killing Me Softly‘, the first in the comeback series. It is one of those albums that grips at every conceivable turn. Also, it depicts Jimmy Wayne’s life, the book’s main character.
Jimmy finds himself in a thriving position. But, he is ultimately in the middle of a see-saw. One side being fame and glory and the other being the likelihood of a very long prison sentence. The book ‘Killing Me Softly‘, now available at all major outlets, is an original music-inspired novel that also examines success in the music industry and the lengths musicians are willing to take to feel glory.
‘Vacant Stare‘ is the album’s opening track. Considering that Mike Zito is a part of the album, we are already anticipating a thundering blues-rock delivery. By gosh, does it deliver just that! The guitars fly all across the mix, while Mike’s vocals firmly plant the character’s attitude and motivations deep within the listener’s own being.
The song ‘Hanging Around‘, which appears four tracks into the CD, stood out as having an exceptional quality. Also, it’s possible to say the same thing about the remaining tracks, which all exude personality. So much so, we find ourselves dripping from the gullet due to the strength of the guitar chords and the drums which shake with a vacuousness.
