Brightwell And Moran Release ‘Bare Boards’

The songwriting duo of Brightwell and Moran, who took first place in the Talent Is Timeless 2022 competition, continue to display all of the qualities that have earned them a place among the industry’s elite. Their latest song, ‘Bare Boards’, which is not entirely brand-new (it is a re-working of an earlier version), is a track that draws us near to the speaker, and it delivers with a style that we are unable to overlook!

The song sits on an indie-folk base. Nevertheless, it does not remain within the bounds of pure folk. Instead, it pushes further afield, even occasionally incorporating hints of country and Americana! The vocals are one of the most notable aspects of this single, and the two of them charm their way to the forefront with a tone that is well-suited to the music. They fit together like a hand in a glove. The plot in the lyrics makes one think and adds to the overall allure of the song. The term ‘Bare Boards‘ is refers to the thorough investigation of a romantic partnership. The meaning appears to be not leaving any stone unturned.

The song was given a fresh take at the illustrious Abbey Road recording studios in London. The investment in quality has paid off, and although it is not a million miles distant from the recording they made previously, it does have added sparkle, and we cannot get enough of it.
