Amber T releases debut solo single ‘Jigsaw’
Alternative pop singer-songwriter Amber T has released her debut solo single ‘Jigsaw’. Released on Right Track Records, ‘Jigsaw’ was produced by Michael Smith (Weird Milk, Honey Lung), who discovered the artist when she performed at The Great Escape festival in Brighton.
In ‘Jigsaw’, we hear 16-year-old Amber explore the pain of being second best to certain people in her life. “Jigsaw is about always being second best to people”, revealed the artist. “In numerous circumstances it felt that no matter how hard I would try I was never top priority for some and yet I was always there for when they needed someone. However I’ve learnt that sometimes its best to walk away from these things as they’re the ones who are losing out – not you.”
Seeking inspiration from the likes of Clairo and BENEE, the musical palette of ‘Jigsaw’ is delicate and personal. Its light bedroom pop sounds are a delight to the ears, letting your attention glide along to the song’s wanderings. Also, Amber T’s vocals are in equal measures sweet and melancholic.

More about Amber T
Amber T taught herself how to play the guitar and keyboard at a young age, and has been performing at local Open Mic nights since the age of 8. To date, Amber T has performed at over 200 live shows, going from the likes of Megamix Festival to becoming the first acoustic performer to play at the Open Deck on The Shard. Not only that, but Amber has also sold out headline shows at Chequer Mead Theatre (in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust) and Camden Chapel. Although this is her first single, Amber T has co-written a few well-recieved tracks. She co-wrote Rubika and Airmow’s ‘Final Call’ and two Radio 1-debuted collaborations with Dr. Zeus: ‘Tick Tock’ and ‘She Don’t’.
