Circumnavigate unveil new track ‘Layer You Up’
Nordic dream-pop band Circumnavigate have released their compassionate and hypnotic new single ‘Layer You Up’.
For fans of Aurora, Lorde, Billie Eilish and Oh Wonder, ‘Layer You Up’ is anchored by its call to protect someone who is having a difficult time. At a time where virtual human contact is really keeping everyone going, a lovely single like this is certainly a lovely source of comfort for the current landscape.
The track begins with some eerie piano melodies, leaving room for lead vocalist Sigrid’s compelling vocals as she calls to help. Her voice is delicate and warm, which provides the track with that necessary emotion and tenderness. Following this, the chorus shines with its echoed vocals, heartbeat drums and twlinkling notes. The result is a hypnotic tune that stays with you from the first listen.
Want to hear more about the band? Circumnavigate, the unsigned band from Oslo, are now based in London. The quartet have amassed over 400k Spotify streams and have even landed three of their songs into Almost Paris – a US feature film directed by Domenica Scorsese. They released their debut dream-folk album When Worlds Collide in 2017, recieving support from the likes of Music Week, Clash, Folk Radio UK and BBC Introducing.
