The Big Moon

The Big Moon tease new album with ‘Your Light’

The Big Moon have announced that their 2nd LP is on its way! Called Walking Like We Do, our first taste of the new record came in the form of the fab new single ‘Your Light’.

It has been two years since their last album release, the Mercury Prize-nominated LP Love In The Fourth Dimension, and The Big Moon have returned with both a new lease of life and a new drive to explore deeper topics. “Walking Like We Do is about being strong in the face of uncertainty, about standing tall even though you’re completely lost and not being afraid of the future because it just keeps on coming.”

This is represented wonderfully in ‘Your Light’, a track which endorses the joy of “freeing yourself from all of it, just for a moment” during difficult times. “It’s a thanks to the one person or thing in your life that knows how to come in and open your curtains and light up the darkness and restore your strength”. Certainly, the track is infectious and packs a real punch with Jackson’s powerful voice. In fact, all of the vocal layers blend beautifully in this upbeat number. With its bright bassline and synths, ‘Your Light’ is so enjoyable.

Walking Like We Do will be out on January 10th 2020 via Fiction Records.

You can check out the music video for ‘Your Light’ below – which shows the band wistfully exploring the Essex countryside.
