honeyfreckle unveils electro-pop delight ‘pit stop’

Ever wanted a track that you can both dance and cry to? Same. Emerging electro pop artist honeyfreckle has released her second single ‘pit stop’, and it’s just that.

In the first instance, the new single is a heartbreaking disco floorfiller filled with fears of being left behind. “It is a nightmare scenario”, revelealed honeyfreckle. “I sometimes have really bad dreams about being left behind by people that I love. Writing this song has been a way of processing and venting those emotions.” And with the catharsis of it all, the track’s dance-friendly energy is apt.

Also, honeyfreckle collaborates with her producer brother, Hampus. The result of this partnership is a very colourful and infectious sound. With a musical palette that makes you want to glitter up and dance, honeyfreckle’s heartfelt lyrics and bouncy electronic sounds make for enjoyable yet melancholic listening. ‘pit stop’ especially displays this interaction with its catchy chorus and fears clinching onto every sunny hook.

Hailing from Sweden, honeyfreckle’s debut single ‘love me not’ was warmly recieved amongst its music critics and radio stations back in November 2019. She then went on to provide vocals for ‘Malibu’, a popular track penned by Billboard-charting artist AJ Salvatore. Hampus and honeyfreckle are both inspired by artists such as Dua Lipa, Carly Rae Jepsen and CHVRCHES. So, if you’re a fan of any of these three pop fireworks (or all three!), then check out ‘pit stop’!
