KiNG MALA releases pop delight ‘sugarblind’
LA-based artist KiNG MALA explores the feeling of lust in her luscious and honest new single ‘sugarblind’.
In this fun and carefree release, KiNG MALA explores the the feeling of lusting over someone, where she goes through the phases of yearning, recklessness and badass femininity. With its honest and wonderfully unapologetic demeanor, ‘sugarblind’ display’s KiNG MALA’s distinct and diverse alternative pop sound. In the cushoined verses, her raspy voice carries with it a sophisticated sweetness. Then, this transitions with an infectious swagger into a gritty chorus full of roaring guitars and catchy reverbs. Moreover, this track could almost be a by-product of a collaboration between Ashe and Bishop Briggs. You can’t help but groove along to its various pop hooks and transitions.
The single ‘sugarblind’ follows the recent releases ‘Hurricane’ and ‘Shadows’. It was produced by Rob Auerbach and mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, Katy Perry and Banks).
